Online sign pricing — the price comes from your drawing

Light boxes, 3D letters, large-format printing, CO₂ laser cutting and CNC routing. Upload a vector file and we measure cutting, creasing and engraving length — the amount appears on screen and it is binding. No drawing yet? Give us the dimensions and we will estimate.

Schematic drawing. The line colours are exactly the ones our parser reads — they were not picked to look good.

What we quote

Our staff maintain the catalogue, so the list grows with the workshop. Every entry has its own calculator, its own materials and its own limits.

Two roads to a price

Both end with an amount on screen. They differ in how exact and how binding it is.

You have a vector drawing

binding price
  • Upload DXF, SVG, PDF or AI — several files in one quote, with its own quantity per page.
  • We measure cutting, creasing and engraving length and the number of pierces. Nothing is estimated.
  • The amount is binding and not open to negotiation — in either direction.
  • Park a configuration and come back to it where you left off; the basket holds several items at once.

You have no file

indicative price
  • Give the dimensions and pick how complex the artwork is — by eye, not from a list of catalogue codes.
  • Materials are chosen from a colour sample, not from a name. You do not need to know how dibond differs from acrylic.
  • An indicative price appears immediately and updates with every field.
  • When your designer sends the drawing, the same quote turns binding.

What we will not price

The server guards the limits of what can be made, not the screen. That is inconvenient in a calculator and it is the only reason its price can be trusted.

  • A sheet wider than the machine bed gets no price and never reaches payment. You cannot buy something the workshop cannot make.
  • Some calculators price from a drawing only. There you will see a request for the file instead of an estimate — a number that would change anyway is worse than no number.
  • Unusual jobs go to individual pricing: the amount comes from our staff, not from a formula.
  • Every quote waits for confirmation — up to 4 hours during working hours. Only once confirmed is it an offer.

Four decisions and done

  1. 1Size and materialSheet dimensions and a material with a colour swatch — you pick by eye, not from a list of names.
  2. 2Artwork and pricingWith a vector file we measure cut length and pierces, and the price is binding. Without one we estimate from size and complexity.
  3. 3Details and finishingWe show only the options that are possible for your material.
  4. 4SummaryA schematic drawing, the full specification and the amount. Payment comes after that.

Frequently asked questions

  • How much does a quote cost?

Nothing, and it needs no phone call. The calculator prices as you type, and you do not need an account for it.

  • Which files do you accept?

DXF, SVG, PDF and AI. The drawing must be vector — photographs and scans have no cutting length, so there is nothing to base a binding price on.

  • Is the calculator price binding?

A price calculated from an uploaded drawing is binding and not open to negotiation. A price from dimensions alone is indicative and becomes binding once the file arrives.

  • Which colours mark the lines in a file?

Red for the cutting outline, green for crease lines, magenta for engraving, cyan for perforation — in pure RGB or at the extreme CMYK channel values. A line whose role we cannot recognise counts as a cut: over-cutting a quote is safer than cutting through a fold on the shop floor.

  • Do black lines mean anything?

No. Black is the default in every graphics program, so it carries no information — we treat such a line as a cut.

  • I have no artwork. Can anything be priced?

Yes. Give the dimensions, pick how complex the artwork is, and the calculator returns an indicative price. We sharpen it once a drawing exists.

  • When do I get confirmation?

Within 4 hours during working hours. The calculator quote is complete, but it becomes an offer only once confirmed.

  • Do I need an account?

Not to get a price. An account matters later: tracking an order and returning to parked configurations.

  • When do I pay?

Up front, after seeing the full specification and the amount. The order reaches the workshop only after payment.

  • I work at an agency and price repeat jobs. Can this be quicker?

Yes. Park configurations and return to them without retyping, put several files in one quote with its own quantity per page, and several items in the basket. The price from a drawing is the same for everyone here, so there is nothing to negotiate on each job.
